Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Goeke, 87, nee Hermina Janning, who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Rieck, town of Meene, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran church in Clevlenad. The Rev. Eldon Bode officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery at Hika.
During the services “Nearer, Still Nearer” and “Safe in The Arms of Jesus” were sung by Mrs. Loverl Vogel and Mrs. Clarence Witte, with Mrs. Oscar Lutze playing the organ accompaniment.
Pallbearers were LeRoy Janning, Hugo Janing, Harvey Iamann, Eldon Voss, David Goertz and Joseph Neudeck.
Among those attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grimmer, South Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. John Kastner, Green Bay.
