Last Rites For Centerville Man Are Held Today
Last rites for Herman Goeke, pioneer Centerville resident, who died at his home, Friday at the age of 72 years, were held this afternoon. Services were conducted at Ss. Peter and John church at Cleveland. Mr. Goeke was born on February 11, 1855, and spent all of his life in Manitowoc County. He was married in 1883 to Miss Hermania Janing. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Albert Reick of Centerville, eight brothers, a sister and nine grandchildren.
Suffering an attack of influenza two years ago, Mr. Goeke never recovered completely from the attack.
