John Kress, 26, of the Village of Cleveland, died Wednesday evening in Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.
He was born June 16, 1950, in the Town of Centerville, he was a son of Vernon and Delores Voss Kress. He was graduated from Sheboygan High School in 1968 and the Lakeshore Technical Institute in 1969.
Mr. Kress was employed at Thomas Industries in Sheboygan where he was a machine setter.
He was a member of St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland.
He is survived by his parents, a brother Vernon and a sister Nancy in Cleveland; Paternal grandmother and step-grandfather Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thieleke, also of Cleveland; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Voss of Millhome.
His paternal grandfather preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church Cleveland, the Rev. Henry F. Koch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Johannes Cemetery in Cleveland.
Friends may call at the Stoltenberg after 5 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday and at the church from noon until the time of service.
