son of Hiram Dodge & Emmeline (Tobey) Dodge

m. Mary E Warner in 1869

Death of Clinton H Dodge
Clinton H Dodge passed away at his home in Hawley, Sunday, after an illness dating back nearly 20 years. Mr Dodge was born in Conway, Nov. 15, 1835. He was the son of Hiram and Emmelide Tobey Dodge. When he was quite young his parents removed to Hawley where he has since resided. During the Civil war he enlisted in the 52d Mass Reg't and at the time of his death was a member of Ozro Miller Post.
By his genial and social disposition he made many friends and up to the time of his illness was prominent in town affairs and served as selectman for several years. In 1879 and '80 he represented his district in the State Legislature. Although he had been in poor health for so many years, Mr Dodge bore his suffering patiently and retained the use of his mental faculties to a remarkable degree.
In 1869 he married Mary E Warner of Buckland, who survives him. Besides his widow and one son, Halbert C Dodge, he leaves two grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers, Mrs Euphelia Bement of South Deerfield, Mrs Lucy Ward of Amherst, Mrs Preleit Ward of Buckland, Mason Dodge of South Deerfield, Tyler H Dodge of Shelburne.
