DEATH OF J. WILLIAM DOANE
J. William Doane, 74, died at his home in Buckland late Wednesday night of pneumonia after a short illness. His funeral will be at the Congregational church in Buckland to-morrow afternoon at 1.30. The burial will be in Buckland. For many years Mr. Doane lived in Hawley. Several years ago he moved to Buckland. He served in the civil war in 52d regiment. He leaves a widow, three sons, Rev. Frank B. Doane of California, F. W. Doane of Northfield, and Will N. Doane of North- [article ends]
