He was born June 20, 1910 in the-Town of Morrison to the late Frank and Amanda (Benicke) Lemke. He married Laura Basken on June 1, 1933. She preceded him in death Jan. 23, 1978.
On June 2, 1979 he married Gertrude Klug. She preceded him in death Jan: 2, 1980.
On June 27, 1981 he married Helen Humblet. She preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 1983.
On Sept. 1, 1985 he married Lora Klug at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison.
Mr. Lemke was a member of Morrison Zion Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Church Council, School Board, the Male Choir, and the Men's Club. He was also a former member of N.F.O., the Farm Bureau, Lake-to-Lake Dairy Cooperative, and the Reedsville Cooperative. He was a former Wayside Telephone Company employee.
Survivors include his wife, Lora; one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Kathy, Appleton; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Carl Natzke, Menominee Falls; two sisters, Loleta Hagenow, Greenleaf; Madella Focht, Austin, Texas; six grandsons, David, Mark, Paul, and Timothy Lemke; Ryan and Craig Natzke; fifteen step-children; many step-grandchildren, and step-greatgrandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and two step-daughters.
Friends may call at Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison, from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison, until time of service. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Waldemar Loescher officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
