Residents of Plymouth were greatly shocked and grieved on Sunday, when it was learned that Oscar Mohs had committed self destruction at his home on Division Street by handing early that morning. The deed was committed by fastening a rope to a knob on the kitchen door, where member of the family make the discovery at about 7 o'clock. County Coroner Sonnenburg was immediately notified.
The deceased had attended a party the night before as a farewell for his brother Arwin and family of Sheboygan, who had expected to leave today to locate in Arizona and the tragic act cane as a sad sequel to what intended to be a joyous farewell for the latter family.
Mr. Mohs was the second oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Mohs of Plymouth and was born in the town of Plymouth on February 23, 1908 coming to the city when his parents retired from farming in December 1914. He was married to Laura Hull of Owen, Clark County, on October 8, 1918, who with one daughter survives him. Besides his parents, he also leaves two brothers, Arwin and Arno, two sisters, Mrs. William Oemichen of Random Lake and Mrs. Clarence Pfrang of this city.
