MRS. CAROLINE JOST LIFELONG RESIDENT OF CITY, IS TAKEN
Mrs. Caroline Jost, 76, died at 9 o'clock this morning after a brief illness of about two weeks. She had made her home with her son, Otto Jost, 16903 South Fourteenth street, and was well known as one of the early settlers in the county.

Born in the town of Mosel, September 26, 1847, Mrs. Jost lived there for a time before her parents moved to the town of Centerville, in Manitowoc county. Her maiden name was Miss Caroline Brust and she was married to Mr. Jost about 1867. The Brust family had lived in the town of Centerville about 40 years. Mr. and Mrs. Jost moved to Sheboygan
about thirty years ago.

Survivors include the children, Edmund of New London, Fred, Paul and Mrs. Alvin Born of Cleveland and Otto Jost of Sheboygan. Another son preceded her in death. Her husband died about 17 years ago. Eighteen grandchildren also survive.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Jost, 76, who died last Thursday after a two weeks illness, were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home, 1603 South Fourteenth street, and the remains taken to Cleveland where burial was made in St. Johannes cemetery. Many friends of the deceased were present at the services and beautiful
floral offerings were sent in token of the sympathy for the family. Mrs. Jost had lived here for the last 30 years. Rev. William Wambsganss (sic) of Bethlehem church officiated at the service.
