Cleveland—John Riess, 74, who spent his entire life on the Riess
homestead farm in the town of Centerville, died Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
at the Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. Mr. Riess had been ill for the
past month.
Funeral services will be held here Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the
Stoltenburg Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at St. John and St. Peter
Lutheran church. The Rev. M. A. Braun will officiate and burial
will be made in Kassa cemetery in the town of Centerville. The
body will lie in state at the funeral home from Tuesday to the
time of services.
Mr. Riess was born April 24, 1862, on the Riess homestead farm,
the son of George and Catherine Doersch Riess.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Henry Radezisky of Abbottsford, five
nieces and one nephew.
