Mrs. Carl Toepel, age 73, mother of Mrs. M.L. Brinkman, this city, passed away Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the family residence at St. Wendel. Mr. and Mrs. Toepel were among the earliest settlers in the town of Centerville and well known in this county. Mr. Toepel died eight years ago and a son, Robert, died a year ago last February. The survivors are four sons; Magnus, who resides at Kiel, William, at home, Gustave, at Neenah and Rev. Carl Toepel, at Newton; and three daughters, Mrs. Otto Kielsmeier, Manitowoc, Miss Louise Toepel, at home and Mrs. Brinkman, this city. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the late residence and at 2 o'clock from the Saxon church. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjolining the church. R. H. Kroos has charge if the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Brinkman and family, of this city, will attend the obsequies.
