Mrs. Fred (Frieda) Schmidt, 78, of Cleveland, who had resided at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, the past eight months died Tuesday morning at the home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church, Cleveland. The Rev. Henry Koch, pastor, will officiate with burial in Saxon Cemetery, Town of Centerville.
Mrs. Schmidt, nee Frieda Lutze, was born March 16, 1897, in the Town of Centerville,
daughter of the late August and Ann Lutze. She was married to Fred Schmidt March 23, 1918. They resided in the Town of Centerville, where they engaged in farming until their retirement when they moved to Cleveland. Mr. Schmidt preceded her in death in 1969. She was a member of St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church. Survivors include three nephews and seven nieces. Five brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
