85, of Springfield, died Thursday, March 20, 2003 in Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. She was born November 1, 1917 in Madison County, the daughter of Hushel W. and Verna Mary (Nibert) Henry.
She had been employed as a cosmatologist with the former Gordon's Beauty Salon in Springfield and she retired from Gold Circle Department Store in Springfield. She was a member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Gary Clapsaddle of Springfield; granddaughter, Amy (Greg) Eddy of Farmington, Illinois; grandson, Captain Aaron (Jennifer) Clapsaddle of Covington, Kentucky; great-grandchildren Tyler, Allison and Will Eddy and michael Clapsaddle; numerous nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her family, she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest J. Green on November 3, 1971; sisters, Mildred Terry, Pauline Dillion, Elizabeth Burlile and Geraldine Oren; and brothers,Herman and Everett Henry.
