Waldemar A. Muenster, 54, a former New Holstein resident who moved to Augusta four months ago, died at his home Thursday evening of an apparent heart attack.

He was born in the town of New Holstein on Dec, 29, 1909, a son of Mrs. and the late Herman Muenster. He attended New Holstein public school and on Oct. 28, 1932 was married to Miss Pearl Keach. He was a member of the regular Army for 20 years, serving both in European and South Pacific theaters. He retired with the rate of sergeant on Oct. 31, 1963.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Donna) Halfmann of Eau Claire, and Mrs. Bert (Kay) Conklin of Jacksonville, N. C.; six grandchildren; a brother, Otto, of New Holstein; two sisters, Mrs. Mabelle Schueler and Mrs. Dorwald Trempe, both of New Holstein.

Funeral services were held at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home, New Holstein. The Rev. Charles Koch, pastor of United Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
