Per very ggrandchild Freda Cruse Phillips (#47329145): both she and Tiana were married to David Gentry.
Also per very ggrandchild: She was living in Sharp County just a couple miles from there when she died. She isn't listed and didn't have a headstone. She's one of several unknown graves marked with a rock. We don't know which one is hers but its recorded in our family bible that's where she was buried and simply 1880 as DOD. She was a staunch Confederate and was responsible for getting General Sam Houston to send the Texas Rangers to fight at Batesville. He was her former brother in law married to Tiana. Sam sent her nephew (an Emory - I can't recall his first name) with troops. This is all in the Enc.of Arkansas (on line).
Per Freda Cruse Phillips (47329145): Arkys 1843 bible has been donated to Old Independence Regional Museum, Batesville, Ark.
