Fletcher Ball, 87, of Marion, a native of Madison County, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1973 in a Buncombe County nursing home after a long illness.
Surviving are two sons, J. Clyde and Robert Ball; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lunsford, Mrs. H. D. Whitten and Mrs. Lewis Worley; 25 grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 1973 in Zion Hill Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
