Wayne A. Voss, age 66, of Manitowoc, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
Wayne was born on October 27, 1943 in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Fred and Selma (Bartz) Voss.
On July 20, 1968 he married Margaret Kauth at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein.
Wayne was employed at Tecumseh Engines, retiring after 40 years of service in 2006.
He enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kathy Voss, Martinez, GA and Steven Voss, Manitowoc; one daughter, Maureen (special friend Brian Klein) Voss, Manitowoc; grandchildren, Micaela, Max, and Maggie Voss, Caitlin Sequin, and Angel, Jimmy, Brendt, Kayla, Corinna, and Devri Riske; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Eugene and Donna Voss, Newton, Dorothy Voss, Manitowoc, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Delores Becker, Elkhart Lake, Shirley and Lawrence Schneider, Osman, Patricia and Donald Gallagher, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Mary (Dennis) Vogel, Kiel, Tony (Dolores) Kauth, Kiel, and Joe (Sharon) Kauth, Lyons, CO. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive.
Wayne was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Jack Jeanty; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Ronnie Voss, Fritz Voss, Robert and Carol Voss; and two brothers-in-law, Elroy Becker and John Kauth.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at St. Thomas the Apostle, Newton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Gerald Foley, with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth on Thursday, August 12, 2010. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the Voss family with funeral arrangements.
