"Cis" was born in Ottawa Canada the third child of Armenie Couture and Joseph Grenier. She immigrated to the USA when she was 10 years on Oct 5, 1923. The family settled in Holyoke, Mass. Cis attended Precious Blood School in Holyoke. She married Roland H. Brochu on Oct. 7, 1939 in Holyoke Mass at Perpetual Help Church. Cis was a talented artist - painter and author of "Her Name Was Armenie", a book about the life of her mother, Armenie Alice Couture Grenier. Cis was active in Cercle des Dames Francaises, an honored founding member of the Mercy Hospital Guild, and a member of the Holyoke League of Arts. She was the mother of Kenneth R.of South Yarmouth Ma, Robert P.of Chicopee Ma, and a daughter Deanne T. Brochu of Shelburne Falls Ma. She is missed by her family, friends and 11 grandchildren.
