SFC Marshall T Markham, Korean War and Vietnam War Veteran, Native of Elizabeth City, NC.

Sergeant First Class Marshall Thomas Markham was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SFC Markham served our country until October 15th, 1969 in Tay Ninh, South Vietnam. He was 37 years old and was married. It was reported that Marshall died from multiple fragmentation wounds when his airboat hit a mine. His body was recovered. Marshall was born on March 26th, 1932 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. SFC Markham is on panel 17W, line 081 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington. He served for 19 years.

SFC Markham leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Ralph Markham, and 3 children, Dean, Medina and Timmy. Marshall was one of 16 children from the union of James Spruill and Matilda Bateman Markham of Elizabeth City NC.

He served with Detachment A-326,(TRA CU), Alpha Company, 5th Special Forces Group, USARV
