Bridget was born in Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland to James and Bridget Moore.
Bridget Agnes Moore married Stephen Cowley on January 21, 1871 at Mayo County, Ireland at the Chapel of Ballina in the Union of Ballina's Roman Catholic church. She immigrated to the United States in 1874, staying in New York for a time and then moved west to Grand Forks County, North Dakota. She was the mother of five children: James Joseph Cowley, Stephen Joseph Cowley, Michael Joseph Cowley, Ambrose Cowley, and Sadie Mary Cowley.
After her husband's untimely death in 1886 she conducted a successful millnery and ladies apparel establishment at Laramie City, North Dakota, per the 1900 census. She died in 1915 while visiting her son, Stephen in Great Falls, Montana. She was buried in Calvary Cemetery and was moved to Mt. Olivet in Great Falls, Montana by the family, per the Cascade County Genealogy Society records.
