The death of Amanda Scott, wife of T.H. Scott, occurred Monday afternoon at the home of Miss Sadie Scott on East Harrison street, but a few hours after the death of Mrs. Margaret Patterson, aged aunt of Mrs. Scott.
The latter had been ill for many months with cancer, and her death was not unexpected. She had been sinking slowly the past two weeks and was in a comatose condition several hours before her death.Mrs.Scott was born in Sullivan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Douty Patterson, the latter the brother of William Patterson, whose widow (Sarah) died Monday morning.
No children survive. Two brothers and a sister survive: Charley and Perry Patterson and Mrs. Lou Hardy of Chicago
