JERRY DEW OBITUARY
CORNING: Jerry R. Dew, 77, of Corning, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at his home.
Born October 9, 1932 in Glouster the son of the late Richard and Doris Love Dew.
He was employed by the state of Ohio as a regional supervisor for the state park water system, he was a Miller High School booster for over 20 years, and was a past president of the boosters.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Woodruff Dew of the home; children, Marcia (Terry) Halasz of Corning, Jeff (Jodi) Dew of Roseville, Denny Dew of Moxahala, Tanya (Greg) Stiles of Corning, and Sheila (Joe) Merckle of Moxahala; sister, Ann Elswick of Hebron; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nine step grand-children.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Dew; and his grandson, Brian Stiles.
Friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. on Thursday October 15, at the J. E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday October 16, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Newlon officiating.
Interment Dew Cemetery, Corning.
