Timothy J. Grambley, age 78 of North Ridgeville, died Sunday, November 7, 2004 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
He was born January 9, 1926 in Lakewood. He had resided in North Ridgeville for most of his life.
Mr. Grambley served in the US Army Air Corp during WW II. He received the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 4 bronze stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star, Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal with 1 bronze star and the WW II Victory Medal.
He owned and operated the Lorain Travel Bureau for twenty years, retiring in 1972.
He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in North Ridgeville, where he formerly had served as a Deacon and the Moderator. He enjoyed reading, traveling, doing electrical work and had built his own home on Maddock Road in North Ridgeville. He also volunteered with the Boy Scouts Troop 155.
Surviving are his wife, Velma (nee Hopkins) 2 Sons, Tim P. Grambley of Berkley Springs, WV, Michael Grambley of Geneva, Switzerland, one daughter Sandra Auner of North Ridgeville, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one brother, William Grambley of Mesa, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parnets, William J. Grambley and Nellie Huffman, two sisters, Ruth Myers-McGriegor and Nell Laubenthal-Rehling, three brothers, his twim James, Willard and Andrew Grambley.
