Mrs. Knute Nelson, wife of Minnesota's senator, lies at rest in Kinkead cemetery in this city, having been buried last Sunday afternoon in the Nelson family lot beside the final resting place of four of her five children. The funeral services, which were held from the Norwegian Lutheran church in this city last Sunday afternoon, were attended by ahost of people of this community and also by a delegation of state officials that had never before assembled in this city. the crowd was unable to be accommodated int he church, and hundreds must have stood outside the church in the rays of the hot August sun paying homage to the memory of a woman who had endeared herself to many of this city and vicinity on account of her unselfish acts of goodness and helpfulness. Rev. A. T. Tjornhom, pastor of the church, preached an eloquent funeral sermon. The body arrived in this city last Saturday afternoon after having left Washington Thursday morning last. Brief funeral services were held in the Nelson home at Washington, D. C. in the presence of a few intimate friends of the family.
