She graduated from Sheboygan Central High School and married Raymond Gilbert in 1956. Dee was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Dee and Ray were integral partners in developing and building the first Jellystone Campground property in Sturgeon Bay WI, after which they became owner/operators of Ray's World of Electronics in Manitowoc for 25+ years. Dee retired from Consumers in 2011.
Dee is survived by 4 daughters: Vicki Gilbert, Oshkosh; Jean Stubler, New London, Lori (Roger) Russove, Two Rivers and Lisa (special friend Michael) Wodach, Plymouth. 4 Grandchildren: Elizabeth Russove (fiance David), Amanda (Scott) Garceau, Collin Wodach (special friend Carissa) and Alex Wodach (special friend Samantha) 1 Step Grandchild: Kathryn (Kevin) Jacobe, also special family member Todd Wodach; 4 Brothers and Sisters: John (Anne) Duesing, Vernon Duesing, Edward (Judy) Duessing and Eileen (Robert) Van Stelle. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents: John and Reihna Duesing, Sister and brother-in-law: Geraldine (Irving) Jackomino, sister and brother-in-law: Bernice (Don) Stanfield, brother: Eugene Duesing and sister-in-law: Alice Duesing.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 10:00 am at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S 14th Street, Manitowoc until the time of a brief Memorial Service at 12:00pm. Private inurnment at St Johannes Cemetery, Cleveland, WI, will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank all the staff at Shady Lane in Manitowoc for the gentle care; they supported Mom with the last year of her life – it was truly appreciated.
