Martin Carl Belitz, 77, of Cleveland, WI, was taken to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at The Bay at Northridge in Manitowoc. Martin was born in Manitowoc on December 19, 1944, the son of Gilbert and Erma (Rabenhorst) Belitz.

Martin was baptized by Rev. Martin Braun on February 4, 1945. He was confirmed by Rev. Eldon Bode at St. John-St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church on March 22, 1959. His confirmation verse, "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine," is taken from Isaiah 43:1.

Martin served his congregation at Cleveland as a member of the finance committee. He also shared recorded worship services with those unable to attend worship services for many years.

The greater part of Martin's working career was spent at Belitz Bros., an integrated family agricultural business. He worked in various production and customer related areas with responsibilities as milling floor manager and farm manager. In later years Martin worked at Sears and Holiday House of Manitowoc. He was always thankful for his time at Holiday House.

Martin is survived by his sister, Mary Schneider, of Plymouth, brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Eileen Belitz, of Cleveland, nieces, Jennifer Huether (Ben Wolfgram), and Amy Belitz, and nephews, Andrew (Julie) Schneider and Scott (Carmen) Belitz. Also surviving are grand nieces and nephews Stephanie, Chelzy, Hadley, Brian and Jake Belitz, Liliana, Isabella, and Alexander Schneider, and Scarlett Cathcart.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Erma Belitz, and one nephew, Daniel Belitz.

A funeral service for Martin Belitz will be held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2426 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, on Friday, March 11, 2022, with Rev. Tom Pankow officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with the service to follow at 11:30 AM. A family burial service will be held at St. Johannes Cemetery, Cleveland, WI.

Memorials may be made to Manitowoc Lutheran High School. The family of Martin Belitz extends thankfulness to the staffs of The Bay at Northridge, Hannah Home, Harmony of Two Rivers, and Hochkammer Home for care and thoughtfulness. We thank the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel for serving the family.
