Mrs. Esther L. Haegler, 88, died Monday, April 25, 1994, at Sunny Ridge, where she had been a resident for the past three years.
Mrs. Haegler was born Dec. 30, 1905, In the Town of Centerville, to the late Adolph and Lucy Bahr Grotegut.
On June 30, 1934, she married Gerhardt Haegler, of Dundee, at Zion United Church of Christ parsonage, Sheboygan. Mr. Haegler preceded her in death July 30,1973.
Mrs. Haegler was a caterer for 46 years and retired in 1986. Esther was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, the Ladies Aid Society, the Women's Guild and was a 50-year member of the church choir.
Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, Karl A. and Jan Haegler, Sheboygan; two grandsons, Steve (Carol) Haegler and Jeffrey Haegler, all of Sheboygan; one great-granddaughter, Stephanie.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two sisters and one brother.
A memorial service will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., at Zion United Church of Christ. The Rev. Steven J. Pedersen, pastor, will officiate. Private family burial rites will precede at Sunrise Memorial Garden. Friends may call at the CHURCH, from 10 a.m., Friday, to the time of services. A memorial fund has been established, in Mrs. Haegler's name, for Zion United Church of Christ.
