Passed peacefully away on the morning of November 24th, John Taylor Johnston.

Predeceased by son Robert (2013), mother Helen (Simms) Johnston (1975), father John Taylor Johnston (1931), special aunt Marion (Simms) Pushie (1979), sister-in-law Peggy (Hudson) Bursey (1996), brother-in-law Jim Lewis (2007).

Leaving to mourn beloved wife of 56 years Elizabeth (Betty) (Hudson), daughter Jeannie Howse, son John Taylor Johnston, daughter Susan (John) Rossanos, grandchildren Daniel Howse (Karoliina Oksanen), Pascale Johnston, and Alexandra and Gabriel Rossanos, sister Peggy Lewis, very special niece Jennifer Lewis, Jamie (Julie) and Cathy Lewis, sister-in-law Jean Hudson (André Clermont), also very good friend Patsy Chafe. Also leaving to mourn a very large circle of family and friends, especially his brother Masons and Shriners.

He was an active member of Lodge Kilwinning, Lodge Conception, Harbour Grace Lodge, Scottish Rite, Grand Lodge of Scotland and the Mazol Shriners.

Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home. (Tuesday, November 25 from 2-5, 7-9 and Wednesday, November 26 from 10-12) Funeral at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Long's Hill, Wednesday November 26, 2pm, with reception in Church Hall to follow. Internment on Thursday November 27, 3pm at United Church Cemetery, Lower Island Cove.

No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada (a portion of which will go to Autism research) or the charity of one's choice.
