She had lived in Boone County since her marriage and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Boone Biblical Church and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and growing flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Albert; and two sisters, Alice and Laura. Survivors include one step-son, David Carlson and his wife, Sarah, of Beatrice, Neb.; four step-grandchildren, David Carlson and Rodney Carlson of Colorado, Steven Carlson of Wyoming, and Scott Carlson of Nebraska; and three nephews and one niece.
Funeral services were Thursday at Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home, 503 Story St., Boone, with the Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial was in Squire-Boone Cemetery southeast of Boone.
Memorials may be given to the Boone Biblical Church, 924 West Second St., Boone, Iowa 50036.
