David Allen Ginn, age 75, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at King's Daughters' Health in Madison, Indiana. Born February 23, 1946 in Bedford, Kentucky, he was the son of Carley and Faynola (Wallace) Ginn.

Mr. Ginn was a 1964 graduate of Trimble County High School. He proudly served his country during the Viet Nam Conflict, entering the U.S. Army National Guard of Kentucky on September 25, 1965 in Carrollton, Kentucky. He was honorably discharged on December 8, 1969 with the rank of corporal.

Mr. Ginn was a member of Bedford Baptist Church, and during his life worked construction, factory jobs, at the former Jefferson Proving Ground in Madison, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky Naval Ordnance Station. However, his greatest and most rewarding job was farming, He truly loved it.

He is survived by his wife, the former Teresa Callis, to whom he was married on April 29, 1967 in Bedford; two daughters and sons-in-law: Brittney and Ryan Hamilton of Midway, Kentucky, and Bree and Bobby Heinz of Milton; four brothers: Bernie Ginn and his wife, Shirl of Milton, Dallas Ginn and his wife, Shirley of Milton, Darrell Ginn and his wife, Karen of Madison, and Jerry Ginn and his wife, Linda of Bedford; three sisters: Jeanette Alexander of Louisville, Donetta Plank and her husband, Dennis of Louisville, and Judy Burkhardt Cottongim and her husband, Ken of Bedford; six grandchildren: Colin, Landon, and Evan Hamilton, all of Midway, and Paige, Ethan and Emery Heinz, all of Milton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Wilbur and Robert Ginn; four sisters: Jesse Roederer, Mary Jo Cameron, Wanda Wood and Faye Powell; five brothers-in-law: Kenny Alexander, Billy Powell, Phillip Burkhardt, John Roederer and Ralph Cameron; one sister-in-law, Sue Ginn; and his mother and father-in-law, Wyman and Januita (Dunlap)Callis.

He was born Feb. 23, 1946 in Bedford, Kentucky, to Carley and Faynola Wallace Ginn. He was a 1964 graduate of Trimble County High School and a member of Bedford Baptist Church. He married Teresa Callis on April 29, 1967, in Bedford, and they had two daughters. He entered the US Army National Guard of Kentucky on Sept. 25, 1965, in Carrollton, Kentucky, and served during Vietnam. Survivors include his wife of 53 years; two daughters, Brittney Hamilton of Midway, Kentucky and Bree Heinz of Milton; four brothers, Bernie Ginn and Dallas Ginn, both of Milton, Darrell Ginn of Madison and Jerry Ginn of Bedford; three sisters, Jeanette Alexander and Donetta Plank, both of Louisville, and Judy Burkhardt Cottongim of Bedford; and six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at the Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, with interment to follow in Bedford Cemetery there. Visitation is 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

The Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 American Legion Honor Guard from Madison will offer a final salute and conduct graveside services.
