Born 15 March 1844 in Canada
Died at Barnes Hospital in Washington D.C.

Enlisted 27 July 1867 into the 7th U.S. Cavalry and again on 23 August 1872.

At the Battle of the Little Big Horn he was in Company K under Godfrey, and saw action on Reno Hill, where he was wounded in the right shoulder on 26 June 1876.

Apparently there were after effects of his wound as he was admitted on 9 May 1877 to the Soldiers Home in Washington D.C., where it appears that he may have remained the remainder of his life.
