Manitowoc - Richard Filliez, age 70, of Manitowoc, died late Saturday Evening, December 29, 2018 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Richard was born on August 10, 1948 in Two Rivers, son of the late Julius and Marie (Steeber) Filliez. He attended St. Lukes grade school and graduated with the class of 1966 from Washington High School, Two Rivers. Richard served in the United State Marines during the Vietnam War. He married the former Priscilla Goessl. She preceded him in death. Richard worked in construction as a Crane Operator. He was a member of Local #139 Operator's Union.

Survivors include his one daughter: Heather Filliez, Manitowoc; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Charles Filliez, Mishicot; Lee (Debbie) Filliez, Manitowoc; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Sharlene Kasper, Two Rivers; Karen (Art) Bangart, New Holstein; Juleen Snyder, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law; Jerry Dhein, Manitowoc; Manuel Rosado, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Julius and Marie Filliez; his wife: Priscilla Filliez; two sisters; Ardis Rosado; Trudy Dhein; two nephews: Troy Bangart; Robert Pelisek; brother-in-law: Steve Snyder.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com
