Marjorie also received her Teaching Certificate from Iowa Teacher’s College. After she received her certificate, she taught all seven grades in Jackson Township Country School until 1951.
On January 15, 1949, Marjorie was united in marriage with Harry Clayton Klinetob at St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville. After their marriage, Marjorie and Harry lived in Clarksville.
Marjorie baked wedding and birthday cakes for many years. She also sold Avon, Christmas Around the World and Queensway Jewelry.
Marjorie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. Marjorie attended the church Ladies Aid and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of Women’s Club in Clarksville for several years.
Marjorie enjoyed playing Bingo, and baking cakes and Christmas cookies. She collected cardinal and Betty Boop items and loved her dogs.
Marjorie was very close to her daughter and her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends.
Marjorie died Monday, September 24, 2018 at Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clarksville of natural causes.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harry on March 12, 2017; her daughter, Deborah “Debbie Sue” (Klinetob) Eggleston; her parents; her sister, Dorothy (John) Brandenberg; an infant sister, Leona; and an infant brother, Harlan.
Marjorie is survived by one son-in-law, Rick Eggleston of Arizona; three grandchildren, Kristin Eggleston, Philip (Brenda) Eggleston and Ericka Eggleston, and one great granddaughter, Evelyn Rose.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, 29, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial in the Lynwood Cemetery, in both in Clarksville.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m., Friday at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville, and one hour before services at the church.
