Clifford E. Hinkle, 72, of rural Williamstown, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 1 a.m. at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay, Ohio. He was born to Hobart and Frances (John) Hinkle on June 20, 1932 in Williamstown, Ohio. He married Marjorie Karn, and they were divorced. Clifford was a farmer. He was formerly employed at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company and also worked as a carpenter.
Clifford is survived by daughters, Sue E. (Jack A.) Lambert of rural Dola; and Lisa E. (David) Laney of rural Williamstown; a step-son, Richard Chamberlain of Hagerstown, Maryland; and two sisters, Jeanne Braund of Findlay; and Dorothy Howard of Defiance, four grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Hinkle.
He was a member of Disabled American Veteran Chapter 43 and AMVETS Post 21, both of Findlay; Ada VFW Post 9381; and Korean War Veterans Association. He was an avid card player, especially enjoying Euchre, and loved to fish.
Funeral services were held at the Crates Funeral Home in Arlington, Pastor Harry Scott officiated. Burial was in Eagle Creek Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Hancock Co., Ohio, where the Ada VFW Post 9381 Honor Guard presented full military rites.
