We saw his suffering day by day / It caused us bitter grief / To see him slowly pine away / And could not get relief //

who died on April 6th 1887 / Aged 69 years /
Long days and nights she bore with pain / To seek for rest, but all in vain / Till god himself who thought it best / To end her suffereings gave her rest //
