Despite the claim in the gravestone inscription Elizabeth was never married to George he being already legally married to Sarah. After the death of George Bolsover Elizabeth was briefly married Thomas Watts the marriage ending with his death.

Elizabeth is buried with George her first love.

In memory of
GEORGE BOLSOVER surgeon of Stockport who departed this life Sep 4th 1854 mourn not for me my life is past, whose love continued to the last, But kindness show and pity take and love my daughter for my sake.
Also ELIZABETH relict of the above who died Sep 30th 1878, aged 75 years.
