John was the son of John and Mary St.Louis Jensen of Holland and Wisconsin. He was married to Mary and had three children. John was a magistrate. He died from gastro-enteritis.No gravestone. Contributor: Carol Engleman (49642448)

Married Mary Gray on 4 June 1889 and moved to Bessemer, Michigan shortly after where he was appointed assistant postmaster, which he held for five years. In 1893 he was elected Mayor of Bessemer and around 1894 he also became a dealer in real estate as well as being appointed express agent for the Northern Pacific and American express companies. In 1900 he was elected justice of the peace.
At the time of his death he left behind his widow Mary and their 3 children, Jerome, Bonnetta and Margaret.

Mary Gray married Joseph Kelnhofer in 1907. They moved to California where Mary died on September 25, 1945 in Long Beach, CA and is buried in Calvary Cemetery.
