Private funeral services for Mrs. Catherine McLuen, were held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, from the Rhoades Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Clyde E. Mosher, pastor of the First Christian Church. Casket bearers were two grandsons, Hugh Terwilliger and Rex Stuck, and four nephews, Wm. S. Breckenridge, of Tingley, C.E. Morrison, of Redding, and Clarence and H.J. Morrison, of Mount Ayr. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McLuen died Thursday in her home in south Mount Ayr from a stroke of paralysis suffered a week previously. She was 85 years of age.
Born in Illinois, Mrs. McLuen spent all of her married life in Mount Ayr. Her first husband Chas. D. Milligan, passed away in 1945, and Mr. McLuen preceded her in death eight months to the day of April 11.
She is survived by two daughters, Edna (Mrs. Leo Stuck) and Mary (Mrs. Warren Terwilliger), of Mount Ayr; two sons, Harry Milligan, of Anaheim, Calif. and Eldon Milligan, of Monterey Park, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Gusta Preston, of Long Beach, Calif.
