The son of William (Hof) and Mary Sharp.
Isaac was married to a Mary Wolverton (b. 1761, d. 1822) in 1777.
Isaac served in the Revolutionary War, in the Virginia Militia. He signed an Oath of Allegiance, September 13, 1777 before John Morrow.
Isaac and Mary had 12 children: John Sharp (b. 1779, d. 1846), Thomas Sharp (b. 1781, 1860), Abigail Sharp (b. 1783), Rachel Sharp (b. 1788), William Sharp (b. 1790, d. 1828), Isaac Sharp Jr. (b. 1792, d. abt 1856), Rebecca Sharp (b. 1794), Margaret Sharp (b. 1796), Darby Wolverton Sharp (b. 1798, d. 1807), Zachariah Sharp ( b. 1800, d. 1874) and Manaen Sharp (b. 1805, d. 1835).
