Bettina McMahon, 55, of Palm Beach Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Jacksonville, FL, on July 15, 2014. She was born in Vancouver, Canada on June 25, 1959 to industrialist Frank McMahon and Betty Betz McMahon, an author published worldwide and a tireless organizer of fund raising for her pet charities, most notably St. Marys Hospital. Bettina followed in her footsteps. As well as organizing the charity events she charmed everyone who crossed her path.She loved people,took a sincere interest in their lives and helped them whenever she could. Bettina was an accomplished equestrian jumper winning competitions. She became a competitive contender in tennis after about a year. athletic, intelligent and beautiful were only a few of her talents. Bettina's talent for understanding, caring, putting people at ease and her inherent wit kept the laughter going. She lost her husband Peter Castellano in 2012 and her 16 year old niece Bettina Ryan in 2009 She is now at peace with her loved ones. Bettina is survived by her sister Francine McMahon Ryan and Francine's three grown children, Alix De La Moussaye, Francois De la Moussaye, and Jerome Ryan. We will all miss her so much.
