Ralph N. Jost, 69, a village of Cleveland businessman, died Wednesday, May 27, 1992, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Born December 26, 192, in Cleveland, Wis., he was a son of the late Rudolph and Eleanor Reding Jost. He graduated from Central High School, Sheboygan, and joined his father in the R.P. Jost Company in Cleveland. He served in the United States Army during World War II serving in the Philippines. He received his honorable discharge April, 1945. On May 27, 1945, he was united in marriage to Margaret Voss at Fort Riley, Kan. After his discharge from service the couple resided in Cleveland where he continued the R.P. Jost Company. He was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church, Cleveland. He was instrumental in the organization of the Cleveland VFW 8974 where he served as past commander. He was a member and past president of the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, the Cleveland Lions Club and past president of the Wisconsin Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors having also served on the Board of Directors. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Cleveland States Bank and East Coast Telecom.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Rany (Kathy) Jost of Cleveland and Girard (Debra) Jost of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara (Carl) Pinkele of Delaware, Ohio, and Mrs. Constance (Fred) Bartelt of Louisville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Chris, Becky, and Sarah Jost of Cleveland, Abe, Jordon, and Nick Jost of Newton, Abigail Pinkele of Delaware, Ohio, Jessica and Andrew Bartelt of Louisville, Ky., and Brian Jost of Volga, S.D.; and a brother, Roger (Jeanette) Jost of Cleveland. Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Brian.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Cleveland, preceded by family rites at 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapels, Cleveland.

Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapels, Friday afternoon after 4 p.m. Parish prayer service will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. followed by VFW services and the Lions service.

A memorial fund has been established in Ralph Jost's name.
