Keune, Robert David Age 96, passed away on 9/8/2015 peacefully at home. He was born in Milwaukee where he lived all his life. He was born the day WWI ended, November 11, 1918 and was told by his mother, Elsa Hintz Keune, that his arrival was greeted by church bells all over Milwaukee. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (deceased). He leaves behind 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren all 37 of whom live in Northern California. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for many years, was the last surviving Charter Member of the National Model Railroad Association. He was a member of the Milwaukee Road Model Railroading Club since 1935. Robert was a proud veteran of WWII serving in the Army for 3 years. He recently had the privilege of participating in an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. with fellow vets, one of the highlights of his life. His funeral will be held at ASCENSION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1236 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53215 In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association.
