EMMA KALK
Mrs. William Kalk, 70, died at her home in Cleveland Tuesday night following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran church, Cleveland, at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Elden M. Bode officiating. Burial will be in St. John cemetery, Hika.
Mrs. Kalk, nee Emma Mahler, was born in Manitowoc in 1881, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Mahler. She was married to William Kalk in Manitowoc in 1903. The couple lived in Manitowoc for several years before settling in their home at Cleveland.
In addition to the husband, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gottlieb Herman, Cleveland; five sons, Karl, of Manitowoc, George, of Sheboygan, Clarence, of Milwaukee, and Paul and William Jr., both of Cleveland; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Dubler, Mrs. Charles Ahlswede and Mrs. Olga
Goeters, all of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Stoltenberg funeral home, Cleveland, from Thursday evening until 11 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of services.
