Mrs. Bertha Doersch, 78, of Cleveland, died Sunday morning at her home following a lingering illness.

The former Bertha Roehl, she was born Sept. 8, 1876 in the town of Mosel, a daughter of the late Fredrich and Julia Wunsch Roehl.
On May 27, 1903 she was married to Charles Doersch. Following marriage the couple lived at Hika where Mr. Doersch operated a brick and tile business. They later moved to Cleveland. Her husband preceded her in death.
She was a member of Ss. John and Peter Lutheran Church and a co-founder of its Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving are four sons, Otto, Henry, Edwin and Hubert, all of Cleveland; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Herman Bergner of Cleveland, Mrs. Ida Fischer of Newton, Mrs. Herman Gutenberger of Mosel, Mrs. Edwin Gutknecht of DePere, Mrs. Elva Erbstoeszer of Haven and Mrs. Helen Jaehnig of Cleveland; and one brother, Edward Roehl of Mosel.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stoltenberg Funeral chapel, Cleveland, with the Rev. Eldon M. Bode, pastor of Ss. John and Peter Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. John cemetery, Hika.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 2 p.m. Tuesday
