Adeline E. Dawson, 88 years, was born October 10, 1926 in Milwaukie, WI to John J. and Adeline M. Connell. She passed away in Oregon City, OR on May 8, 2015.
She attended Catholic schools her whole life and graduated from Jr. College in Milwaukee, WI. Then moved with her family to Coeur D' Alene, ID in the '40s. She worked in a knitting factory in Milwaukee then became a secretary for a Match Company after moving to Coeur D' Alene.
She met then married Earl N. Dawson Jr. in Coeur D' Alene on October 31, 1953. She was a lifelong homemaker and childcare provider as well as a clerk for Graham's Book and Stationary in Canby. She was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Canby, OR and volunteered for the school district. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family and was an avid sports fan of the Oregon State Beavers and the Mariners.
She is survived by 6 children, David (Jaquie) Dawson of Boise, ID; Nick (Mary) of Puyallup, WA; Maureen (Jerry) Giger of Canby, OR; Carrie (David) Pyle of Lake Oswego. She had 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl and infant granddaughter.
Monday, May 18th, the Rosary will be recited at St. Patrick Church, Canby at 10:15 a.m. with a funeral mass at 11:00 and a luncheon to follow.
