Mama was born May 7, 1947 in Nashua, NH, came into this world in the loving arms of her parents, Ted and Franny, and left this world in the loving arms of her children on Feb. 7, 2011. Ellen graduated from Weber State in 1970. She married Daniel David Daniel, Jr. in the Salt Lake Temple in 1972; divorced. Ellen raised four beautiful children. Ellen held many callings in the LDS Church, many teaching the wonderful youth from nursery through Young Women's. After many illnesses, her body finally gave out and she went on vacation to sit under a tree and read a book. Survived by her sons, Daniel (Denise), Charles (Tammie) and Timothy; daughter, Amy (Ben) Ekins; grandchildren: Daniel's children: Emma, Rachel, Caroline, Eliza and John Charles' children: Wilson and Harmonee; and Amy's children: Elizabeth and Sarah Ekins; sister, Colleen (Ron) Caldwell; brother, William (Gloria) Caughey; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brother, Charles; grandparents; Aunt Louise; father, Theodore; and mother, Frances. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of IMC and South Davis Community Care Center, Dr. Douglas Newbold, Dr. Scott Chidester, and Dr. Donald Morris for all of their loving care and devotion. Friends and family may call Friday evening, February 11, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary located at 4760 So. State Street.
