DEATH CLAIMS BERT STRINGER
Resident of Calgary for the past 30 years, Bert Stringer, 2003 Eighth street west, died in a local hospital on Thursday evening, after a long illness. The late Mr. Stringer was engaged in the real estate and mining business in Calgary for many years. His wife predeceased him in 1926. Born in Chatham, Ontario, he came to Calgary 30 years ago. He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Ann, nursing in the Holy Cross hospital in Calgary; two sons, Stewart and James, of Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, T. Stringer, Peace River and Arthur Stringer, well known Canadian author, New York. Six sisters, Mrs. D. Crombie, Montreal; Mrs. Norman Lougheed, and Mrs. Chester Williams, Calgary; Mrs. C. Hembury, Lacombe; Mrs. P.D. Morrison, Vancouver, and Mrs. P. Kaufman, Woodenville, Washington, also survive him.
