Erie Peterman, 76, of 1407 Concord av. died in Mercy Hospital at 10:15 p.m. Friday after an illness of two months. He was admitted to the hospital April 22.
A Springfield resident 52 years, Mr. Peterman was an owner and operator of a commercial trucking firm. He was born Oct.10, 1885, in Madison County, the son of Frank and Sarah Burchnell Peterman.
His wife, Alta M., died Nov. 15, 1960.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Davis and Mrs. Juanita Newman of Springfield and Miss Verda Peterman, who lived with her father; two sons, Theodore F. and Phillip Peterman of Springfield; nine grandchildren and one step-grandchild and several great-grandchildren.
His body was taken to the Littleton funeral home.
