Anton J. Pokorski, 84, formerly of 1303 S. 26th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon, April 11 at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 am Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Pokorski was born May 29, 1901 at Manitowoc, son of the late Matthew and Mary Sepnafski Pokorski. He married the former Theresa Myszewski on June 18, 1924 at St. Mary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1982. Mr. Pokorski was self employed as a home contractor in the Manitowoc area until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Adolph Hamachek and Geraldine and Joseph Stygar of Manitowoc; two sisters, Anna Burish and Martha Bonk of Manitowoc; four grandchildren, Judith, Janet, Katie and Gary; five great grandchildren, Jesse, Corey, Shawn, Ryan and Jason and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 pm to 9 pm Monday where a prayer service will be at 7:30 pm by Rev. Harold Berryman.
