Roland "Smokey" Comins, 81, of W3909 Midland Drive, Campbellsport, died Friday, Feb. 14, 1992, at St. Agnes Hospital.

He was born on May 12, 1910, in Oshkosh, a son of Guy and Jenny Johnson Comins. On Jan. 21, 1939, he married Dorothy Majerus.

Mr. Comins farmed in Fond du Lac County since 1939. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, Ashford.
Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Pat Serwe and her husband Cyril of Campbellsport, Faith Hermanns and her husband Francis of St. Peter, Barbara Jaeger and her husband Gerald of Ashford, Jane Gitter and her husband Tom of Green Bay, Ellen Rauch and her husband Gary of Allenton, and Janet (Cricket) Schneider and her husband Nick of St. Cloud; one sister, Bernice Alves of Plymouth; one half-sister, Elvira Knute of Washington State; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard; three brothers; one sister and two stepbrothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Twohig Funeral Home in Campbellsport, and at 11 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church. The Revs Wayne Barta and Mel Hermanns will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Eden.

Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. A parish prayer service will be held at 4 p.m.
