Lloyd L. Johnsen Lloyd L. Johnsen, 90, of Aberdeen, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at the Aberdeen Living Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen, with Fr. Brian Simon, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral home visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, with a Liturgical Wake Service being held at 3:30 p.m. Visitation continues Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service. Lloyd L. Johnsen was born Jan. 18, 1915, at Delaware, Iowa, to George Frank Chase and Rachael Elizabeth (Thorpe) Chase. Lloyd married Elizabeth (Baldwin) Atanasu on July 16, 1947, at Aberdeen, S.D. He then married Mildred Serfoss on April 16, 1959, at Aberdeen, S.D. He owned Johnsen Skelly Station. Lloyd was friendly to everyone he met, and loved to visit with others. He also enjoyed gardening, singing and visiting relatives in different states. Survivors include his sons, Lyle "Butch" Rhone of Mandan, N.D., Lloyd (Lynn) Kalwalski of Wisconsin, Lloyd Johnsen of Portland, Ore., Lyle (Connie) Johnsen of Aberdeen, Clifford Johnsen of Woonsocket, S.D., and Hal Johnsen of Lowell, Ark.; his daughters, Hilda (Wayne) Gifford of Flasher, N.D., Marlene McElwee of Bremerton, Wash., Rose Remero of Colorado, Chris Langowski of Reno, Nev., Flora (Craig) Anderson of Mankato, Minn., Elizabeth "Grace" Bjerke of Aberdeen, Sandy (Bill) Whichello of Lake City, Mich., and Lori (David) Porter of Royal Oak, Mich.; his stepchildren, Ronald Loomis, Arlene (Stan) Henry, Mary (Ron) Kost and Sue (Doug) Adelmund and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Janice Vetter, eight brothers and five sisters. Casketbearers will be Daniel Sommers, Cory Johnsen-Lehr, Ben Kasyoki, Nicholas Anderson, Dakota Johnsen and Joe Vetter. Honorary casketbearers will be John Vetter, Clyde Lehr, Linda Weber, Kim Mitzel and the Aberdeen Living Center Staff.
